WINDSOR, Mass. (WWLP) - A Berkshire County man turned himself into the police after allegedly shooting his sister to death on Thursday. According to a news release from the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, at around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, 65-year-old Paul Menard of Crane Road in Windsor walked into the State Police Barracks in Cheshire to report he shot and killed his sister at his home. State police arrived at the home at around 2:04 p.m. and found the body of 62-year-old Monique Menard of Hinsdale on the ground near her car. Juvenile taken to hospital with serious injuries following shooting The DA's office said based on evidence collected at the scene confirmed Menard's report that he shot the victim three times. He also reported using two firearms, after one jammed. Menard, who does not have a firearms license, did not call 911 and waited 20 minutes before driving to the police station. Menard was arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court on one count of Murder in the First Degree on Friday. He is being held without the right to bail, without prejudice.
