Are you smarter than a 5th grader in Virginia?
Nov 01, 2024
(NEXSTAR) — Are you smarter than a Virginia fifth-grader taking their end-of-grade math test? Knowing what your kids are learning — or how hard the lessons are — is never a bad idea.
The following questions were taken from the Spring 2019 Grade 5 Mathematics Standard of Learning test, which is available in the Virginia Department of Education's Teaching, Learning, and Assessment section.
And while the term “easy” is subjective, these are five math problems that don’t require graphing and don’t incorporate geometry. Use your cursor or finger to highlight and reveal the answers. Calculators allowed. Pencils up!
