NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) -- Two juveniles were charged after a fight at An Achievable Dream (AAD) Middle and High School on Tuesday, police said. Around 4:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to An Achievable Dream Middle and High School in reference to a disorderly subject. Upon arrival it was reported that a juvenile from Heritage High School entered AAD and assaulted a juvenile student in the school. The two juveniles were removed from the building. The mother of the student who allegedly initiated the assault, the student’s sister, as well as another family member returned to the school. A confrontation began between all five parties. The reason for the physical confrontations is unclear at this time. Two juveniles were issued petitions for simple assault. There were no serious injuries and the investigation remains ongoing.
