MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Arkansas State Police have released photos of a man accused of running down and killing a construction worker during a high-speed chase out of West Memphis last month. Calvion Dayshun Thomas, 23, of Memphis, was identified by police as the suspect Friday. Original Story: 1 worker dead, 1 hurt on I-55 in West Memphis; Corvette driver still at large Calvion Dayshun Thomas Thomas is wanted by state police and the U.S. Marshals for the Sept. 18 death of Justin Delgado, 36, of Lola, Texas, who was working in a construction zone near the I-55 bridge to Memphis. He faces felony charges of First-Degree Murder, First-Degree Battery, Theft by Receiving and Fleeing. On Sept. 18, West Memphis Police stopped a maroon Corvette for a traffic violation on East Broadway. The driver sped off at high speed, and police pursued him onto I-55 south. That's where the Corvette struck Delgado and another worker who were in a construction zone around the 3-mile mark. Delgado was killed; the other worker remains in serious condition, ASP said. The Corvette, which was stolen from a house in Memphis, was later found by police in the 200 block of West McKellar Avenue in South Memphis, fully engulfed in flames.
