Highland Street bank hit by armed robber; police search for suspect

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A credit union on Highland Street was the victim of an armed robber Friday afternoon. Police say there was an armed robbery at the First South Credit Union at 633 S. Highland. Officers were out looking for a suspect in the area on foot and by helicopter. There was no word on whether the robber got away with any cash, nor was there a description of othe suspect.
