INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has released a safety guide for Swifties planning to attend the Circle City's three "Eras Tour" shows this weekend. In a new video explainer, IMPD encouraged Taylor Swift concertgoers to stay safe, plan ahead and heed the following tips: Be a Mastermind and Plan Ahead Know your route to Lucas Oil Stadium and make sure you have a parking plan. Don't park in restricted zones unless you want a "Blank Space" where your car used to be. Stay, Stay, Stay on Sidewalks Pedestrians should stick sidewalks and cross at designated crosswalks. Drivers should be alert because downtown Indianapolis is likely to be filled with Swifties and the concerts could increase traffic. Don't Ruin Your Reputation Enjoy the concerts responsibly and steer clear of "Trouble." Leave the Bad Blood at Home Be courteous to those around you and help ensure everyone has "The Best Day." Don't Let the Jail Wagon Be Your Getaway Car Follow instructions from IMPD officers and event staff to keep the fun going and avoid disruptions. "With hundreds of thousands expected to descend on Swift City, IMPD is committed to ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for all fans," IMPD's release read. "This light-hearted video, filled with Swift-inspired advice, reminds everyone to enjoy the city responsibly." IMPD has already announced road closures for this weekend's Taylor Swift concerts. Information on those closures can be found here. IMPD Chief Chris Bailey also spoke with FOX59 and CBS4 about the safety plan for the "Eras Tour." The chief's thoughts on the concerts and IMPD's safety measures can be found here. Want more stories on Taylor Swift's stint in Indy?
