MURDER FOR HIRE: Man offers 8-balls of coke in exchange for ex-wife’s killing
The informant was allegedly indebted to Gierek, thus why he was allegedly chosen to commit the crimes – and as a reward Gierek allegedly told the man he’d forgive a small portion of a debt, and give him four 8-balls of cocaine.
The charges, which both carry sentences of up to 10 years, could be reduced as a part of the plea deal made with prosecutors. In the plea deal, Gierek is "entitled to a two-level reduction and, if eligible, an additional one-level reduction in offense level." With these reductions, it could take months to years of his final sentencing.
Gierek's sentencing has yet to be scheduled. He is currently being held at the Huntington County Jail.
