Event Date:  November 13, 2024 - 4:00pm Douglas County news release Douglas County invites residents to an educational flood awareness workshop to discuss flood preparedness and current flood control projects. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Dining Room at the Douglas County Community and Senior Center, located at 1329 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville, Nevada. The event falls during Nevada Flood Awareness Week, which takes place Nov. 10-16, 2024. With flood season approaching, the flood awareness event will provide critical information to help residents and local businesses prepare for potential flooding events. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from experts, including representatives from Douglas County Stormwater Management and other key agencies.
