BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY)-- The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a fight involving a teacher and a student at Breaux Bridge High School Wednesday in which a student was allegedly head-butted by one of his teachers. The incident happend during lunch time, fracturing the student's nose. In a statement, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office said: "We are handling the investigation and the school is conducting an internal investigation." Sakeou Brown says when he got the call about his son being injured at school and learning it involved a teacher, he was at a loss for words. Brown says not only is he angry that his son was harmed, but he's more upset that his daughter was the one to tell him instead of school officials. "You see his nose bleeding why not call the ambulance and take him to the hospital or call, then call the parents?" he asked. Brown said his son is currently at home recovering but is still experiencing headaches. He described his feelings as being "really upset and nervous." Brown said he's unhappy with how the situation was handled, saying his son was "given tissue and put in a behavioral class." Breaux Bridge man arrested in connection with Kole Hebert shooting Brown says this is not his son's first incident with this particular teacher. About a month ago, the same teacher sprayed a substance on his son and nothing was done about it then, he said. Told that the teacher has been suspended, Brown says he is still seeking legal advice. Brown says the entire incident concerns him regarding his son's safety. He says he knows his son has experienced emotional distress and embarrassment.
