Looking for a new pet? Meet an Argentine boa, lepoard gecko up for adoption
Nov 01, 2024
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — This week, we're featuring scaly friends. Sean and Meg Braud of Scales and Tails Animal Reptile Rescue are highlighting a snake and a leopard gecko, which are up for adoption.
Aries is an Argentine boa. Although he's still small, he can grow up to 8-10 feet long. Aries is about two years old now, and his species has a 20-30 year lifespan.
Ivy is a 2-or 3-year-old leopard gecko. Their lifespans are about 10-20 years.
Reach out to Scales and Tails if you're interested in adopting either pet. Their adoption fees are $50 each.
A questionnaire must also be filled out when filling out an adoption form. Reptiles may seem like easy pets to care for, but they require as much work as a furry friend.
The Brauds not only help rescue and rehabilitate reptiles but also help educate the public on proper reptile care. They've spoken at events, schools, etc.
If you're already a reptile owner, you can still contact them for tips. Reach out if you're trying to own a reptile for the first time.
More information about adopting Aries and Ivy and upcoming events can be found on their Facebook page and Instagram.
