BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Meet this week's pet of the week, Trooper! Trooper got his name from being tough enough to outlast the fireworks, as he was found on July 5. He is a mellow dog and can sit on your lap all day if you let him. Trooper is one of the special needs dogs at the shelter due to being blind, according to Brian McLaughlin with the Bakersfield SPCA.
