Our Opinion: We’d love to hear your ideas for Progress
Nov 01, 2024
It’s officially Progress season here at the Austin Daily Herald, and in the next few weeks, we will be busy planning the stories for our biggest special section of the year.
For those who may not be familiar with Progress, it typically publishes at the end of February or beginning of March, and highlights many positive things happening in our area.
We work on the section for the good part of three to four months every year.
Progress puts a spotlight on not only all the good things happening in the community but also many of the people who go above and beyond to make those things a reality. In addition to stories, the Progress section highlights how long companies and organizations in the area have been in operation in our Parade of Progress section, and businesses that would like to showcase their services.
Progress features some of our best work all year around the subjects of community, diversity, education, business and our small towns.
We’d love to hear if you have any story ideas you think would fit well into this section. Please send them to [email protected].
We look forward to getting out even more into the community and meeting new people who are making a difference in the lives of those around them.
We live in a wonderful community with many inspirational people and are sure there is no shortage of ideas.
