ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man from Rushville was charged with manslaughter after a fight earlier this year in Gorham led to his neighbor's death.
On April 14, investigators said 32-year-old Nicholas Pascazi III got into a fight with another man on Arnold Road. His neighbor, 55-year-old Teddy Read, tried to step in and stop the fight. It was alleged that Pascazi punched Read in the head, which led to Read falling and hitting his head on the concrete ground.
Read was taken to FF Thompson Hospital for treatment, but was then flown to Strong Memorial Hospital. He died from his injuries on May 5, 2024.
On Thursday, Pascazi was arraigned in Ontario County Court on a sealed indictment. He was charged with second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and third-degree assault.
He was taken to the Ontario County Jail and was released after posting bail. He will return to court at a later date.
