(KRON) -- A shelter-in-place that was ordered for Leland High School in San Jose Friday morning has been lifted, according to the San Jose Police Department. Earlier, a text message sent to the school community advised that the school was under lockdown and that all students and faculty were safe.

The San Jose Police Department said that units are currently on the scene at the school investigating a reported threat. SJPD said that the shelter-in-place was issued as a precaution.
Police confirmed that there is no current threat to public safety at this time. KRON4.com has reached out to law enforcement and the school district for more information.
Leland High is located at 6677 Camden Avenue in San Jose.
