HAMILTON— A 19-year-old Trenton resident has died after being struck by a van while riding his bicycle. Victoriano Choz perished despite heroic efforts by Hamilton Twp. firefighters and emergency medical service technicians. Their CPR actions extended the life of Choz early last Saturday after a van struck the teen at the intersection of South Clinton Avenue and Chambers Street, according to a Hamilton Twp. police report. Choz passed away on October 29 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. On October 26, 2024 at approximately 9:28 a.m., a 2005 GMC van operated by Julio Caizaguaman, also of Trenton, collided with the bicyclist. Police noted the preliminary investigation appeared to indicate the bicyclist proceeded southbound into the intersection against the red traffic signal, and was struck by the GMC vehicle. The GMC Van traveled eastbound on South Clinton Avenue through the intersection which had the green traffic signal.
