10th annual Hops in the Park returns to Henricus Historical Park in Chesterfield
Nov 01, 2024
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Celebrate fall with the return of the Hops in the Park on Saturday, Nov. 2 from noon to 6 p.m. at Henricus Historical Park in the Chester area of Chesterfield County.
The award-winning hops and harvest festival will feature more than 20 Virginia craft breweries, live music, food trucks and a marketplace. Proceeds benefit the Henricus Foundation's Children's Education Fund, which funds programs and field trips for area children.
"Students, when they visit Henricus Historical Park, learn about life among English colonists and Powhatan Indians in the early 17th century in Virginia," Henricus Foundation Executive Director Charlie Grant told 8News. "It's all done through living history, the kids are able to see, feel, do the things that were done 400 years ago. I like to say the kids learn more in an hour than they do in a textbook."
Entry is free. Henricus is cashless, and visitors are asked to bring a debit or credit card for beer tickets.
Henricus Historical Park is locatea at 251 Henricus Park Road. There are several parking options available for Saturday:
Satellite Parking at USA Iron & Metal (1800 Coxendale Road)
Dominion Energy (11201 Old Stage Road)
Handicap Parking is available at Henricus Historical Park
Free shuttles will run from 11:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the event. More information about Hops in the Park can be found on the Henricus Historical Park website.
