PROVIDNCE, R.I. (WPRI) — If you tune in to the radio station Hot 106, you won't hear hip hop or R&B songs anymore. Holly Paras with the broadcasting company Cumulus Media told 12 News that Hot 106 "no longer exists" and that "a change is coming." All of Hot 106's social media accounts have been deleted. ALSO READ: RI radio legend Giovanni calling it a career after 50 years Hot 106 hosts Mike DaSilva and Alexus Lee shared on social media that they no longer work for the station. "I’m still trying to process it. There’s no ill will or anger, just business. In any business, nothing is guaranteed. Right now, I mostly feel sadness," DaSilva wrote. "We were brought together for the good and we now go our separate ways for the good as well," Lee said. "To all who have sent me kind messages of support over the last 14 months I thank you. I’m stepping into the next adventure 14 times better than I was." There is still music playing on the station's airwaves.
