With U.S. voters less than a week out from General Election Day, Orange County's Supervisor of Elections Office has confirmed that if you received a vote-by-mail ballot for this year's Nov. 5 election, it is now too late to guarantee that your vote will be counted if you drop it off in the mailbox today through Election Day. “Given the fact that we must have ballots in our possession by 7 o’clock on Tuesday, it is best for voters to drop off their ballot at one of our early voting locations or bring it to our office,” Christopher Heath, public information officer for the Supervisor of Elections Office, confirmed to Orlando Weekly in an email. “Putting the ballot in the mail today may not get it to us in time.”
