YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - One person is severely injured after a house fire in the Springfield Terrace Subdivision Thursday night. According to officials, crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Oakmont Circle around 11:30 p.m. for reports of a residential structure fire. This is in the Springfield Terrace Subdivision on York County. Crews arrived to the scene and found heavy fire and smoke involving a detached shed and the house. Oakmont Circle fire (Courtesy: York County Department of Fire and Life Safety) All of the residents were able to exit the house before the arrival of fire crews, but one person suffered severe injuries as a result of the fire and was transported to the VCU Medical Center Hospital. No additional injuries were reported. The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation, and the American Red Cross has been called to assist with those displaced.
