GREENFIELD, Ind. — Authorities have arrested Greenfield parents after their baby was reportedly seen malnourished, according to the Greenfield Police Department, Nealy Knight, 22, and Brison Phipps, 18, were arrested for Neglect of a Dependent resulting in bodily injury, a Level 5 Felony. Pictured Right to Left: Nealy Knight and Brison Phipps Officials were dispatched on Oct. 10, 2024, to find a person at an undisclosed residence. Upon arrival, officers observed a baby that appeared malnourished, thin, and pale. According to GPD, officers immediately contacted paramedics. When assistance arrived, they determined that the child should be transported to an area hospital for further medical care. Per protocol, the Indiana Department of Child Services was contacted. The pair were arrested on Thursday, Oct. 11, following an investigation by DCS. 14-year-old charged with rape, battery, death of 1 in crash "These serious charges reflect the gravity of the situation and the need to protect vulnerableindividuals," said GPD in a press release. "The Greenfield Police Department remains committed to the safety and well-being of all residents, especially children." Knight and Phipps are booked in the Hancock County Jail.
