Winter on the Waterfront 2024 promises frosty fun for all!

Baltimore’s “Winter on the Waterfront” returns for the 2024 holiday season, bringing with it the transformation of the city’s harbor promenade into a picturesque winter wonderland. From November through January, there will be a variety of festive experiences along the Inner Harbor to celebrate the winter holidays.Produced by the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, “Winter on the Waterfront” kicks off the festivities on Saturday, Nov. 9 with the return of the Inner Harbor Ice Rink. The Christmas Village begins on Thursday, Nov. 28, which also happens to be Thanksgiving!Dec. 7-8 marks Baltimore’s Most Festive Weekend, and the annual Harbor Point Winter Festival happens in January 2025.“The holiday season is a time for connection, and our Winter on the Waterfront events are designed to foster that sense of togetherness,” said Laurie Schwartz, president of the Waterfront Partnership. “With cherished traditions like the Ice Rink and Christmas Village returning, along with exciting new experiences, we encourage everyone to rediscover the magic of Baltimore’s waterfront this holiday season, with endless opportunities for fun, exploration, and making new memories.”“We are honored to continue supporting the Inner Harbor Ice Rink, a cherished tradition that brings joy and excitement to the heart of Baltimore during the holiday season,” said Amy Elias on behalf of the Pearlstone Family Fund and Elizabeth R. “Buffy” Minkin, president of the Joseph & Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds. “Our commitment to Baltimore’s waterfront spaces helps ensure that families and visitors can come together to celebrate the season, create lasting memories, and experience the magic of winter in our city.”The Inner Harbor Ice Rink will run from Nov. 9, 2024 – Jan. 20, 2025. It will return to the location at the top of the Amphitheater between the two Harborplace pavilions at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. On Nov. 9, opening day, the first 50 people to arrive will skate free! There will also be a live DJ, hot cocoa and coffee from Matriarch Coffee and pastries from Curst by Mack while supplies last. Regular hours will be Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday, 12 p.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.The Christmas Village in Baltimore will run from Nov. 28 – Dec. 24, 2024. It’s an authentic German Christmas market with a combination of outdoor and indoor wooden stalls featuring gift shopping and traditional food, sweets and drinks, returns to West Shore Park at the Inner Harbor. It will be open every Sunday through Thursday from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.Baltimore waterfront’s Most Festive Weekend of the Year is on Dec. 7-8, 2024! The entire waterfront including Fells Point, Harbor Point, Harbor East and Inner Harbor, will be adorned with decorations, overflowing with festivals, art, and holiday wonder. Visitors can enjoy the Holiday Skate at the Ice Rink, Fells Point’s Old Tyme Christmas, Parade of Lighted Boats, and The Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore’s Holiday Maker’s Market at the Harborplace Light St. Pavilion, which will feature more than 60 homegrown brands, vintage, and live music.On Sunday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 21, Santa is dropping buy the Inner Harbor Ice Rink for a late morning visit! From 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Join Santa and Santa’s Helper for photos and enjoy refreshments while supplies last!The Harbor Point Winter Festival takes place in January 2025. Watch as award-winning sculptors use chainsaws and chisels to create pieces of art.
