BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A skateboarder died after being struck multiple times by vehicles travelling westbound on the Westside Parkway Halloween night, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Page. On Thursday, CHP responded to reports of a skateboarder down in the roadway near Allen Road in westbound lanes of the Westside Parkway at about 6:40 p.m. Sugardaddy’s Women’s Boutique announces closure The person was pronounced deceased by medical staff on scene. Officers temporarily closed three lanes in the westbound lane of travel, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Page. Emergency responders including California Highway Patrol officers are investigating. By 17 News count, this is the 47th pedestrian fatality in Kern this year. This is an ongoing investigation.
