Photo by Stephen Maturen/Getty Images What are you looking for from the Lions as we make our way into the second half of the 2024 season? With your Detroit Lions sitting at 6-1 after eight weeks of play, now seems like a good time to dive into what we are looking forward to from the team as we approach a big game against the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 of the 2024 season. So far, the Lions have looked every bit as impressive as they were billed to be prior to the start of the year. They have beaten several quality opponents, and handled business in games they were more or less expected to win. That brings us to today’s Question of the Day: What are you most looking forward to in the 2nd half of the season? My Answer: Simply put, I want to see this team continue to take care of business on a week-to-week basis. Don’t get me wrong, I know they will lose games here and there over the course of the next 10 weeks of play. After all, this is the NFL and everyone has a chance every time they step onto the field. But with the way the Lions have disposed of teams like the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans lately, I have come to expect a level of consistency from this year’s team. Each week during their preparation, you can tell this team expects to win. Like defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn said way back when HBO’s “Hard Knocks” was in Detroit — “It’s time to get that feeling back.” And now in 2024, it seems that mindset Glenn spoke of on the day has taken hold with this team. Staying on this path and securing the NFC’s number one overall seed should be one of this team’s goals for the rest of the year. Winning the division is obviously first, but after that, ensuring the conference runs through Ford Field during the playoffs should be right behind winning a second consecutive NFC North crown.
