Man critically injured in southeast Wichita shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Police say a 44-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting on Thursday night in southeast Wichita. The shooting happened in the 9200 block of E. Harry around 9:30 p.m.
Police tell KSN News that they arrived to find the victim had been taken to Via Christi St. Joseph and then transferred to Via Christi St. Francis, where he underwent surgery.

"There was some type of incident that occurred at the front door or near the apartment where a shot was fired. We're not sure if there was an argument prior to that or what exactly. We're still learning that from our investigation," Capt. Chad Beard, Wichita Police Department, said.
Police have identified a suspect and are still looking for the person.
