Juvenile taken to hospital with serious injuries following shooting

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A juvenile was taken to Baystate Medical Center after he was shot near the Racing Mart/Gulf Gas Station in the Indian Orchard neighborhood of Springfield Thursday evening, according to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh.

The shooting occurred around 8:30 pm on Main Street and Milton Street in Indian Orchard.When officers got there, they found a boy with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries. Main Street and Milton Street were closed for some time, but are now open. No arrests have been made at this time.
