The fourth overall pick joined the Silver & Black and has been wowing fans and pundits alike with his basketball IQ, temperament, and agility. A small sample size, but in the first four games, Castle has averaged 5 points, 3.5 assists, and just under one steal per game. Castle has a distant tie to the Spurs in that his father, Stacey, played alongside Tim Duncan at Wake Forest in the 1993-94 season. It was a point of humor during his Rookie Press Conference (see the 7-minute mark): So far, Castle is showing nothing but upside. And with Tre Jones sidelined with an ankle injury, Stephon is in a position to grab some minutes behind Chris Paul and stake his claim early in his career. Happy birthday, Stephon.
