FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) is investigating a death along the railroad tracks on Airport Expressway between Airport Drive and Bluffton Road. A train is believed to be involved. Police responded to the north/south tracks around 4 a.m. Friday. A train could be seen stopped. According to a press release sent out by FWPD the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature. A vehicle was towed from the scene, however it did not appear to be damaged. Airport Expressway was closed for several hours abut has since reopened. This is a developing story. Check back for updates when they become available.
