Charleston's Colonial Lake will be lit this Christmas, city officials say

The popular holiday event will return Dec. 6 for its ninth year. The city committed $25,000 toward the annual Christmas tree lighting after the Charleston Parks Conservancy announced it wouldn't host the event citing rising costs.
