OXON HILL, Md. (DC News Now) -- Many people across the DMV celebrated Halloween Thursday night, including the workers at MGM National Harbor in Prince George's County.
The Halloween celebration was all for a good cause, as staff members spent the afternoon filling up candy bags called “Boo Grams."
After filling the bags, staff members sold the candy to other employees to raise money for MGM’s Resorts Foundation, which provides grants to 28 community organizations and non-profits in the DMV.

MGM Community Engagement Director Star Hunter said it feels great to help the community.
“This is so special, and we do it all year round - we host a number of fundraisers,” Hunter said. Last year, MGM donated $275,000 to local organizations.
“And this 'Boo Grams' is to raise money for local organizations in the DMV to help the most vulnerable residents - and it means so much for us to help and give back, especially on a fun night like Halloween," she added.
Some of the local organizations include Casa Prince George’s County, Best Kids Inc. and Bread for the City.
