A girl in Boulder escaped a potential kidnapping Monday morning when an unknown man started following her on her bicycle and grabbed her shoulder, according to a message on X.com from the Boulder Police Department. The 11-year-old said she was walking to school on 26th Street between Meadow and Norwood avenues around 8:30 a.m. on Monday when a man started to follow her and grabbed her. The girl then grabbed a tree branch that was on the ground and hit the would-be kidnapper, which caused him to let go and allowed her to run to school.
