Does your county have your absentee ballot?

LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - We are less than a week away from Election Day, but does your county have your absentee ballot?
News 3 asked elections supervisor, Ronda Walthour, about ways to check your absentee ballot status.
"You can always check your absentee ballot status on the MVP [My Voter Page] website for the Secretary of State or you can actually call in the office to verify that the ballot was mailed off or if we've actually received it,” Walthour said.
If your local election headquarters hasn’t received your ballot and you suspect it to be lost in the mail, you can request a cancellation affidavit. The same goes for if you haven’t received your requested ballot.
“When they do the cancellation affidavit, they are allowed to vote in person, just making sure that they sign and say that they will not cast that ballot that was mailed to them or if they did not receive it,” Walthour told News 3.
She added, “It’s normal. yes, it happens. The thing is, we make that process so easy for you to cancel your ballot. We don't first that we don't do anything. We just ask that if you do receive it, please return it back to the office in the way that you got it. Then that's how we just go ahead and take care of them and let them vote”
Walthour told WSAV that if you are mailing your ballot, plan accordingly.
“It’s up to the elector to get it back to us in a timely manner by Nov. 5, by 7 p.m.”
The last day to early vote in Georgia is Nov. 1.
