Moisture will be drawn up into eastern New Mexico starting Friday. This moisture will bring spotty to isolated storms to eastern New Mexico on Friday and through the day Saturday. These storms have the potential to bring heavy rainfall and become severe storms with the threat will be isolated to eastern New Mexico.
By Sunday our next fall storm system will be over New Mexico. This low pressure system will cool temperatures off again and bring more rain to the state. Rain chances on Sunday and Monday will be nearly statewide. This storm system will also be returning snow to the northern mountains along with a few flakes possible across the Sandias. New Mexico is expected to dry out once again by the middle of next week.
