Juan Nunez reportedly violated his parole in September and then fled. As part of his conditions of release, Nunez was ordered to take a drug test after his September hearing. He went into the bathroom and tried to falsify his results by placing a yellow liquid into the testing cup in lieu of his own urine, according to court documents.
After officers caught him in the act, they told him to wait outside in the lobby as they discussed his actions with a judge. That's when officials said he fled.
He was then arrested on Thursday in Torrance County.
