ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The ABQ BioPark took pumpkin carving to a whole new level on Halloween.
Divers brought pumpkins underwater and attempted to carve spooky faces on them while fighting buoyance. The ABQ BioPark said kids and families in attendance had fun watching the event.
How does Spirit Halloween choose its locations?
"They think it's really cool! Who knew you could carve a pumpkin underwater? I wish we could take it underwater and bring it back up, but unfortunately, it would get kind of soggy. So it's kind of a one-way trip on that end," said Ashley Baca, with the ABQ BioPark.
The fish and turtles took care of the rest of the pumpkin by getting a snack to munch on.
