Bernalillo County's plan to buy downtown building for senior housing falls through

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County's plan to buy a newer downtown building for senior housing has fallen through.
The county wanted to purchase the Anthea @ The Granite building on Fourth Street with the idea of making it into affordable senior apartments.

The county said problems came up when the landowner couldn't agree on sale terms with the building owner.
That caused the county to shelve the purchase, which it planned on making with funds from the federal American Rescue Plan.
