Fourmonthold dead, three injured after pedestrian crash in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A four-month-old child is dead after a pedestrian crash in Albemarle County where a vehicle hit two other children and a woman.
At around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, the Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the report of a pedestrian crash on Stony Point Road in the area of Riverside Shops Way.
According to police, six pedestrians were attempting to cross Stony Point Road when a sedan traveling south struck four of the pedestrians identified as a 38-year-old woman, a three-year-old, a 1.5-year-old and a four-month-old.
Police said the other two juvenile pedestrians were not struck by the vehicle. The driver of the sedan remained on scene and was uninjured.
All of the children hit by the vehicle were transported to an area hospital in life-threatening condition. The 38-year-old woman was also transported to the hospital in serious condition.
On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the four-month-old child died due to their injuries from the crash, according to police.
