INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis metro police are investigating after a person was shot and killed on the far east side of Indianapolis Thursday night. Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 7:34 p.m. 11550 block of Brook Crossing Lane after receiving reports that a person was shot in the area. IMPD said officers arrived and found an individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, according to IMPD. As of this article's publication, IMPD has not provided any information about a possible suspect or the circumstances that led up to Thursday's deadly shooting.
