Governor Holcomb welcomes new First Dog, Oliver

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and First Lady of Indiana Janet Holcomb welcomed a furry new member into their family on Thursday: First Dog, Oliver.
"Hello I am Oliver Holcomb, but my mom and dad call me Ollie," the dog "wrote" in a post to X. "I’m still pretty new to this 'bark to text' technology, and I am a little nervous because I know I have big paws to fill."
Oliver fills in for First Dog after the Holcombs' previous dog, Henry, passed last December.
However, the Holcombs do not want to think of Oliver as a "replacement" for Henry. "Henry’s exuberance for life will be missed, and his place in our hearts never replaced," Eric Holcomb wrote in an X post last year.
Pictures of the governor and first lady's adorable new pet can be seen in the slideshow below.
