HOWARD, Wis. (WFRV) - Multiple fire departments responded Wednesday afternoon to a building fire in Howard that reportedly caused an estimated $750,000 in damages. A Facebook post from Howard Fire Rescue states that crews were sent to the 2400 block of O'Conner Road in Howard after flames and heavy smoke were seen coming from a building. Officials urge public to check garbage/recycling bins after “close call” at Outagamie County Recycling Crews arrived around 3:45 p.m. and were able to contain and stop the fire from spreading within an hour. However, it is estimated that the fire caused $750,000 in damages to the building and its contents. It is currently being investigated by the Brown County Fire Investigation Task Force.
