EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso will kick off the 2024 holiday season with a Grand Tree Lighting ceremony in November. Photo courtesy of The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso The free and open to the public ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. The special evening will feature Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and other holiday characters as the center lights their grand Christmas tree, according to the Outlet. “The Grand Tree Lighting has been a cherished tradition in El Paso for over 15 years,” Carlos Rodriguez, general manager said. “We are thrilled to kick off the annual shopping season in El Paso with this beloved event.” In addition, entertainment will include performances by Montwood High School’s drumline and cheer group, Da Vinci School’s choir and dance and theater by LAT Latin American Talent and Theater. There will also be photo opportunities with holiday characters and a tree light show led by DJ BigShow.
