(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Pikes Peak Avenue is closed east of South Academy Boulevard following a crash that trapped people in their car.
According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), crews responded to a crash at the intersection of Pikes Peak and North Murray Boulevard around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.
People were initially trapped in a car, but CSFD said they were freed from the wreckage just after 5 p.m. and taken to the hospital.
CSFD asked drivers to avoid the area of Pikes Peak and Murray, as Pikes Peak remained closed.
