BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — We have a top 10 showdown in Louisiana between No. 3 Dunham (8-0) and No. 7 Episcopal (7-1) for a district title on the line in District 8-2A Friday night.
The Tigers have won seven out of the last 10 meetings between these two programs.
Entering Week 9, Dunham and Lutcher (7-0) are the only two undefeated teams in the Baton Rouge area.
As for the Knights, their only loss on the season came in Week 5 at the hands of Ascension Catholic, 14-7. Since then, Episcopal has rattled off three straight district wins.
"I know they're going to be well coached and they're going to play extremely hard," said Dunham head coach Neil Weiner. "It's a great rivalry game, even if the score has been off. Sometimes they've won big, sometimes we've won big. It's been a battle every single year."
