BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in northwest Bakersfield, officials said. The collision was reported just before 4 p.m. on Olive Drive near Knudsen Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol's Traffic Incident Information Page. The pedestrian was struck by an SUV, according to CHP. An officer at the scene told 17 News' Connor Dore the man suffered a serious injury to his leg and was taken to Kern Medical for treatment.
