Bear Mountain Blvd in Arvin open in both directions after gas line incident

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Bear Mountain Boulevard in Arvin is open in both directions after a gas line was struck during construction work Thursday morning, according to the city.
The closure is on Bear Mountain Boulevard between Meyer and Hill streets. East and westbound traffic is impacted.

The closure was in place for about two hours, according to Arvin spokesperson Megan Snyder.
The closure was set in place out of an abundance of caution, just after 11:16 a.m., Arvin P.D. SoCal Gas and Kern County Fire Department are assessing the the situation.
