COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- An Ohio man will spend more than two decades in federal prison after pleading guilty to sexually exploiting minors by pretending to be a 15-year-old girl on social media.  Clay Thomas Wolfe, 28, of Junction City, was sentenced Thursday to 276 months, or 23 years, in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges in April.  According to the Office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, in total, Wolf possessed approximately 850 images and 570 videos depicting child pornography.  Jury deliberations begin in murder case of former Columbus police officer who shot unarmed man Court records state that Wolfe pretended on Snapchat to be a teen girl named Ally who lived in Ohio. He used the Ally persona to solicit sexually explicit pictures and videos, primarily from teenage boys, although investigators said they found images featuring children as young as 10 or 11. Additionally, Wolfe allegedly threatened to send the boys’ sexually explicit material to their family and friends as a means of extortion.  The U.S. attorney said his office identified approximately 100 victims across several states including Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. Wolfe solicited more than 300 teens for explicit images and videos, court records state.  As part of the scheme, Wolfe would send his victims pictures and videos of young girls he found on adult pornography websites, using those images to entice his victims, according to court documents. In return, his victims would send sexually explicit images and videos.  The case first came to light in April 2022 in Pennsylvania, when law enforcement learned a sixth-grade student was sharing a nude photograph of a classmate that the student received from Wolfe, pretending to be Ally.  Wolfe was arrested and charged in June 2023.
