Man critically hurt in series of robberies, robbery attempt in DC; people wanted by police

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers were trying to find two people who were responsible for a series of crimes that took place in a span of a few hours Sunday morning, including a robbery that left someone critically hurt.
MPD said it received a report about an unconscious man in the 500 block of T St. NW around 5 a.m. Medics took him to the hospital.

Detectives determined that the man was walking in the block when two people robbed him. They also determined that the people responsible were connected to three other crimes in the hours that followed:
5:50 a.m.
Police said the two people approached others in the 1900 block of 14th St. NW, assaulted them, and tried to take their belongings. They were not successful.
5:55 a.m.
MPD said the two people went up to someone in the 1800 block of Vermont Ave. NW and robbed the person. That person was not hurt.
7:22 a.m.
Detectives found that the two people confronted someone in the 900 block of Rhode Island Ave. NE, demanded items, and took them. The person wasn't injured.
MPD released images of the people whom they want in connection to the crimes and the car that detectives said the people used.

Police asked anyone who may have seen or heard something out of the ordinary in the 500 block of T St. NW or the surrounding area around 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 to call them. MPD asked people in the area to check their own surveillance cameras for footage that could help the investigation.
