SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Thursday its Halloween and the City by the Bay will be celebrating in style. Across San Francisco, there are a host of "spook-tacular" events for celebrating the holiday. Here are a few of them: Nightmare on Front Street "Nightmare on Front Street" is a free block party on SF's Front Street that is the latest installment of the city's entertainment zone initiative. The event will feature themed cocktails, live music, a costume contest and other "spooky activities." Is it going to rain on Halloween? Participating bars Harrington's Bar & Grill, Schroeder's and Royal Exchange will be serving drinks to go that can be enjoyed out on the street within the confines of the event. The event, which also features live DJ sets, kicks off at 2 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. Thursday. Halloween Glitter Box "Halloween Glitter Box" is set to be an "epic night" at Ginger's featuring all-star Bay Area drag performers Kipper Snacks, BeBe Sweetbriar and Afrika America. The event will also feature a performance from the all-girl queer punk band, Honey Bucket. The event begins at 7 p.m. at Ginger's on Hardie Place in downtown SF. The event will feature food, drinks and a selection of over 50,000 songs to chose from to show off your vocal stylings. This "haunted pub crawl" invites revelers to "discover the dark and seedy secrets hiding above and below the oldest part of the heavy pouring city."
