AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - A woman has died after a head-on crash involving two vehicles on Suffield Street in Agawam Thursday morning. This Halloween night marks 20 years since deadly shooting in New Bedford Agawam Police Sergeant Brian Machos told 22News that at around 9:22 a.m. officers were called to a head-on crash in the area of 916 Suffield Street. Upon arrival, a woman was found unresponsive and had severe injuries. Firefighters worked to get her out of the vehicle and she was taken to Baystate Medical Center. A portion of Route 75 (Suffield Street) between Centerwood Drive and Adams Street was closed for several hours but has since reopened. The 35-year-old woman died due to her injuries. Police have not released her identity at this time. The investigation is being conducted by the Agawam Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
