SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Dr. Jill Biden will travel to Savannah just days before Election Day. The first lady is expected in the Hostess City on Saturday afternoon to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz. According to the Harris-Walz campaign, the goal is to "turn the page on the chaos and division of Donald Trump." The first lady will visit Atlanta and Macon before her Savannah stop. ‘When we vote, we win’: Gov. Tim Walz urges early voting at Savannah event In recent weeks, the Harris-Walz campaign has focused on Savannah. Harris, her husband Doug Emhoff and Walz have each visited. Former President Donald Trump stopped in the city at the end of September to deliver remarks at the Johnny Mercer Theatre. He was expected at the National Rifle Association’s Defend the 2nd event at the Savannah Convention Center, though his appearance was canceled due to a scheduling conflict. A location for Jill Biden's visit in Savannah has yet to be announced.
