SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A resolution on what to do with the Soldier’s Monument in Santa Fe is moving forward following a vote from Santa Fe City Councilors. For months the city council has been debating a proposal to move the monument to the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The latest version of that proposal initiates a study of the feasibility of moving the monument to the cemetery. Some residents say it's a first step that is long overdue, but others argue it's a waste of time. Ultimately councilors voted to approve the study, saying it will provide information that is needed before any decisions are made.
